Sukhman’ blog
Welcome to My Blog!
By Sukhman Kaur – General Studies Major
Hi everyone! I’m Sukhman Kaur, and I’m currently studying General Studies at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. I’m excited to start this blog as part of my course, and I hope it becomes a space where I can share my thoughts, experiences, and maybe even inspire someone along the way.
So, a little about me—I chose General Studies because I’m still exploring what I truly enjoy. This program gives me the freedom to try different subjects and figure out what clicks. I believe learning should be flexible, and this path lets me shape my education in a way that works for me.
I enrolled in this course because I want to become a better communicator. Writing has always been something I’ve wanted to improve, and blogging feels like a fun way to do that. I’m hoping to learn how to express myself clearly, organize my ideas, and connect with readers. Plus, I’m curious about how blogs work behind the scenes—how to format posts, add visuals, and make content engaging.
Outside of school, I’m someone who enjoys the simple things. I love reading, listening to music, and going for walks—especially when the weather is nice. Cooking is another hobby I’ve picked up recently. There’s something satisfying about trying a new recipe and getting it just right. I also spend a lot of time with my family, which keeps me grounded and happy.
One of the best places I’ve ever visited is Stanley Park in Vancouver. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and full of nature. Walking along the seawall with the ocean on one side and tall trees on the other is something I’ll never get tired of. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and appreciate the moment.
If I had to recommend one thing to others, it would be trying Indian street food—especially pani puri. It’s a burst of flavor in every bite, and it’s such a fun experience. You get these crispy shells filled with spicy water and tangy fillings, and it’s unlike anything else. If you ever get the chance, don’t miss out!
This blog is just getting started, but I’m looking forward to sharing more in the coming weeks. Whether it’s about school, life, or random thoughts, I hope it feels real and relatable. Thanks for stopping by—and stay tuned for more!
